Movie Review

One picture of the movie showed importance of one man. It was the picture that Alberto Korda took when he saw the body of Che Guevara. The reason that it became so famous, was because of how it was seen to the people. The photographer took the picture in an angle that made Che look like someone that looked immortal. The picture had many different features that made it more appealing to others. It attracted many people to this particular picture of Che Guevara because of how he looked in the picture along with with the positioning of it. People found that because the eyes were open, it made it more alive and seems as if he was still alive, but in fact, he was not. People saw a picture that made history. A man that made a impact in history. Many people would probably recognize Che Guervara even they do not know who he is. The picture taken says a lot. Before it was taken, the photographer took into account of what was going on and did his job. However, he did it in such a way that people noticed certain things within the picture.
The picture that the photographer took, shows the people that he was seen as something of an importance, even though there are many people who can argue against it. Just because of the angle of the picture, how it was placed, and what is in the picture, it has made history. The photograph has made people more aware of Che Guervara as a revolutionist. Without such a photo, no one would recognize him as much. It made such a impact with one picture and it says a lot to people in the world. It shows that with such a simple, natural picture, it could make people appreciate it more.

  1. Alice made alot of good points about the photographer and taking a picture of histoy. and i agree with you on the picture and how it was taken and where it was taken made history. Persoanlly i have never heard about Che Guervara and what people reconized him as. If i just looked at the picture i would have said so what its just a picture. but after watching the photographer in the interview he made is more clear and brought the picture into real life so i could understand better of who this man was and the impact he had on people. One thing i disagree with you about this is when you said the angle of the picture he took made him look immortal.i think of immortal as a good thing, someone you want to remember forever in a good way not bad. the photographer was trying to take a picture as real as possiable, he didnt make people stand in certain places. The man who he was taking picture of is a criminal,a coniving human being who deserved what he got which was death.

  2. I agree with Alice in a lot of her good and strong points about how this photographer was writing a history by making such an important interview on Che Guevara, which was an important person in revolutionary, as a author, even as politician and even more subjects that after his death he became the ubiquitous countercultural symbol worldwide. He was a God for some people and even today he is, the journalist took a picture of Che Guevara when he died and his eyes were still open, it was like the soldiers did not want him to rest in peace. During the video, while we were watching it in class we could see how important for the journalist was to take the pictures that were so powerful that he said in interviews that his pictures are so important that in interviews like this ones he wants to be invisible. He gave in his pictures a reason why are so unique by making a history with real documents that were very important to people who were interested in Che Guervara and that is is left from him.
